This year I have been introduced to Dirty track Racing at South Buxton racetrack. And oh man am I loving it. It has been so much fun and very exciting. It has been a couples weeks since it started and I am already picking out some drivers that I like better then others, I pretty much have my favorites picked out and even the ones that I dont like (you know them dirty racers).
I have also been bringing my camera with me and taking some shots. We sit at the top of the grand stands so if I stand up I am able to shoot over the fence, but unfortunitly can only get good shots from across the track. Luckily I have a long lens (55mm-200mm). I have to admit, its hard getting good shots, with so many cars going around you just have to shoot and hope you catch something good. I have gotten some crashes, missed a bunch too.
My boyfriends family races, 2 cousins and a uncle. And I guess I'm bias because they are on the top of my favorite list. I love how bright Doris's car is, and he drives like a pro, very clean too. And Patrick makes things very exciting, he's more risk taker. Both of them are in the same class of cars, and together they make for a great race. Then there's his uncle Gerald, hes been doing this for 30 years! He has recently changed class of car but hes very entertaining too, both in and outside the car.
I'm still new with trying to remember each drivers name but Im really working on it. But number 09 is amazing. He has a super fast car and is kicking butt. And number 1 Brad A, is pretty impressive too, me makes that car go. And he's also a huge risk taker.

If i'm not booked to do photo's on Saturday nights, then you know where you can find me, im the gal on the top of the grand stands with the camera ;)
